A Konica Minolta integra a lista das “100 empresas mais sustentáveis do mundo” (2020 Global 100) pela 3ª vez e pelo 2º ano consecutivo, um ranking que é promovido anualmente pela consultora internacional Corporate Knigths. A empresa tecnológica, de origem nipónica e com atividade em Portugal, destacou-se pelo desempenho em Sustentabilidade, numa avaliação que tem por base indicadores ambientais, sociais e de governança, bem como a capacidade de inovação das empresas e a venda de produtos considerados ecológicos. Foram avaliadas 7.395 organizações a nível mundial.
Para a Konica Minolta, uma sociedade sustentável apresenta benefícios também para as organizações. Neste contexto, os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) definidos pelas Nações Unidas, e que estão integrados em áreas que afetam a qualidade de vida das atuais gerações – mas também das próximas -, contribuíram para a Konica Minolta desenvolver a sua atual estratégia que inclui o desenvolvimento de projetos e a criação de inovações que aportem valor, nomeadamente, para o ambiente.
Nesta matéria, a Konica Minolta está comprometida com a redução da pegada de carbono da empresa. Entre os objetivos a alcançar até 2050, encontra-se a redução, em 80%, das emissões de CO2 dos seus produtos ao longo do ciclo de vida, em comparação com os níveis do ano fiscal de 2005. Tem também como meta obter 100% da sua eletricidade a partir de energia renovável até 2050 e, ainda sob o mesmo tema, participa no RE100, uma iniciativa mundial que reune empresas influentes que se comprometem em fornecer energia 100% renovável.
Além disso, a Konica Minolta na Europa estabeleceu uma parceria com a ClimatePartner através da qual apoia um projeto de compensação de carbono certificado com a Gold Standard, tendo já sido compensados mais de 19 milhões de kg de CO2.
